The beach of Porto Istana, reachable on foot from Villa Castànza, is a
gem of the north-eastern coast of Sardinia which rises at the foot of
Capo Ceraso, a picturesque granite promontory.
Porto Istana, located in front of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara, is a set of four beaches separated from each other by small rocky bands and surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation.
With a beach made up of very fine white sand, with its emerald colors and calm waters, it is also considered a perfect beach for children.
In addition to the sup board, it is possible to rent umbrellas, deck chairs, skates and boats.
The bay includes four small beaches from which the sea can be easily accessed. The pure and crystalline water allows you to enjoy the sea show at any time of the day, it has splendid seabeds rich in fish and marine flora and transparent water.
Some sports centers allow paddlers to observe the seabed rich in flora and fauna through a screen.
The beach of Porto Istana is famous and much appreciated by enthusiasts of water sports, sailing, diving and snorkelling.
